Well screen with inflow control device

Description

The well screen with inflow control device is made on the base of the oil-grade pipe and its construction contains a wire screen jacket

The central element in the design of the well screen with inflow control device is the inflow unit

The inflow unit contains several pass-through channels that can be closed by means of a rotary flow bushing, rotating it with a simple chain key. The inflow in each individual section of the well screen is regulated by opening or closing a certain number of channels. There is an engraving on the surface of the unit to determine the number of open / closed channels.

Application

• Prevention of premature water and gas breakthrough inside the well and, accordingly, inside the well screen
• Uniform distribution of fluid flow along the entire length of the well screen shank
• Reduction of erosion damage of well screens at sections of the well with increased permeability of the formation
• Operation of wells with highly permeable layers
• Filtered on the slot screen jacket fluid moves in the gap between the screen jacket and the pipe, enters the open inflow channels of the inflow unit, and then through the holes enters the pipe of the well screen
• Due to the change of the open to the inflow channels number, the pressure drop on each individual well screen is regulated. It allows to align the profile of the oil flow rates along the entire shank
• The filter is easy to set up and does not contain small parts
• Well screen with inflow control device can be set up directly before installation of the latest data directly on the rig
